We are actively seeking a Transport Planner to join our North West branch!

Hours: 40 hours per week, 8.30am - 5pm.

About You:

We are looking for an individual who has good communication and can be hands on with problem solving. We take pride in working together as a team, which enables us to ensure that our container fleet is maintained to the best quality for our values customer. You will have experience of the hire industry; however, this is not essential! We will provide training.

About the Role:

As a Transport Planner, you will have a direct reporting to our Branch Manager. You will be responsible for organising and planning transport routes for our HGV drivers to deliver our fleet to our valued customers. You will have a hands on approach with good communication and problem solving skills.

Your duties may vary from:

  • Providing the effective routing of transport in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Liaising with customers on deliveries/collections
  • Processing on/off hire documents
  • General Admin duties including cost
  • Planning transport routes
  • Responsible for the organisation of administrative tasks within the Branch
  • Complete all necessary paperwork as requested
  • Answering internal and external calls
  • Invoice queries, service requests and breakdowns on site
  • General filing
  • Other general administrative duties as required by the branch
  • Takes the initiative and seeks out additional work wherever possible
  • Takes personal responsibility for career development and improving own skills
  • Is willing to help out other employees
  • Personally takes responsibility for making it easy for all customers
