The Tradeshow & Events Specialist will be responsible for annual planning and execution of external and select internal events that promote the brand, support employee engagement, drive demand generation and support business priorities. 


  • Partner with the Field and functional leadership to identify and prioritize strategic WSMM-footprint wide and local tradeshows and events for WSMM presence that will support business objectives. Create and maintain annual calendar of internal and external meetings/events and prioritization framework. 
  • Plan and execute strategic development, design, implementation and management of national and regional trade shows and special events. This includes pre- and post-engagement (i.e. coordination with show organizers to secure space, email outreach to customers, researching sponsorships and additional exposure opportunities, customer hospitality during trade shows and events, etc.). 
  • Obtain competitive bids from vendors, and partners with Marketing leadership to ensure the highest ROI bid with the highest quality of service and products related to internal, as well as, national and regional trade shows and events. Maintain effective relationships with all vendors.
  • Partner with Ops & Analytics manager and commercial/sales to ensure demand generation is attributable to tradeshows and events and reports accordingly. 
  • Partner with business and functional stakeholders to support planning and execution of some internal events including the annual kickoff meeting. 
  • Manage adherence to annual trade shows and special events budget.


Required Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Marketing Communications.  5+ years of experience in marketing, with focus on tradeshow and event design and execution.


Required Skills and Abilities: 

  • Results oriented; drive and desire to build a commercial career (marketing, sales, sales effectiveness); Time management skills; Highly detail-oriented; Effective communicator; Experience in all aspects of tradeshow planning and execution, as well as small to large scale event planning and execution.  Experience in measurement/contribution to marketing return on investment; Experience with vendor management and budget management.   Experience effectively working in a matrixed organization.  Growth mindset.
