ABOUT THE JOB:

The primary focus of this position is to successfully coordinate the delivery and pick-ups of Mobile Mini units to and from customer sites, ensuring the drivers are following all safety and DOT regulations.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Promotes safety first culture for all areas of dispatch.
  • Coordinate shifts for drivers daily.
      1. Schedules and assigns drivers and vehicles to convey units.
      2. Review next day/week deliveries and pick-ups and develops a dispatch plan
      3. Enters all assignments into database
      4. Effectively communicates daily assignments with drivers
      5. Tracks Drivers out on delivery/pick-up
      6. Assists Drivers in troubleshooting when necessary
      7. Ensures Drivers have collected all appropriate documentation and signatures related to delivery/pick-up of units and offices and will work with the Driver and Customer if the unit is damaged
  • Ensure communication with customers to assist in scheduling daily/weekly activities
      1. Informs customer of delivery/pick-up times
      2. Answers customer questions about delivery/pick-up
  • Answer incoming calls from customers to take their order(s) for equipment as needed.
  • Coordinate activities with sales and customer to prepare documentation for customer contract set up, shipping, and return as requested.
  • Coordinates with outside vendors regarding trucking and deliveries. This will include outside hauling services, as needed, and assisting Drivers with obtaining required annual, monthly and daily city/state transportation permits
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years’ experience with dispatching preferred
  • Knowledge of local metropolitan area streets and roadways
  • Familiar with standard concepts of scheduling and dispatching
  • 1+ years of business-to-business customer service experience
  • Intermediate computer skills, especially MS Office
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Knowledge of DOT and state specific safety regulations preferred
  • Experience with a GPS or tracking software preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve
  • Communicate clearly: verbal and written
