ABOUT THE JOB:
This role requires leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to coach, train and engage. The key objectives of the National Driver Trainer Leader are to support safety, logistics and operations functional areas, lead the driver apprentice program for participants, develop, and deploy standard work instructions (SWI’s) for delivery and install (D&I) supporting DOT compliance and the William Scotsman Mobile Mini (WSMM) business.
Our National Driver Trainer must be in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Eastern Tennessee (South/Gulf Coast Region). Individual must reside near a major airport.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Responsibilities of the National Driver Trainer Leader include but are not limited to:

- Demonstrates and supports the WSMM Core Company Values
- Complies with all WSMM Safety, Transportation, and Environmental Policies (OHSA, EPA, DOT) and regulations.
- EBITDA Performance – Identify areas of revenue growth, cost efficiencies and compliance opportunities through preventive measures such as inspections, repairs, training.
- Assist in the execution, implementation, and evolution of our company-wide logistics initiatives.
- Provide consistent training for Driver Apprentices, new drivers, new Set-up Techs and teams.
- Provide train-the-trainer support to local driver trainers and Set Teams.
- Act as a subject matter expert in safety, logistics and operations (D&I processes).
- Assist with safety, coaching on job functions training and engagement of existing drivers, set-up techs and teams. Assist with Safety Audit(s) and audit follow-up efforts with re-training.
- Conduct and maintain accurate documentation of check-ins with driver apprentices at 30, 60 and 90 days to ensure the driver apprentices are on-track to complete the apprentice program while remaining engaged in the operations.
- Assist with Complex (CPX) install Program, including development of SWI’s, SOP’s, time studies, and development of training materials for CPX modular, Flex install and knockdown program.
- Assist with Driver Qualification files (on-boarding and maintenance) for new hires and current employees. Expectation of 100% compliance in designated area.
- Conducts safety audits, inspections and hazard analysis on drivers, trucks, trailers, and equipment at the branch’s, on the road, and customer job sites to ensure compliance.
- Review accident investigation and preventive measures implemented for the purpose of avoiding re-occurrence.
- Champions and fosters employee involvement and teamwork. Hands-on leadership; regularly engages with all levels of employees.
- Dynamic leader who demonstrates the ability to influence collaborative change management
- Manage inbound calls and emails related to DOT and driver safety
- Onboard M&A new drivers facilitating all required check ins, verifications, training and coaching for the role.
- Up to ~80% travel across the Gulf South Division (Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Eastern Tennessee)

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will possess:
- 3+ year(s) driving in the modular / storage industry
- Complex, section modular install and knock down experience preferred
- Current CDL A license preferred
- Awareness of safety compliance requirements including local and US laws, DOT regulations, international and industry standard
- Demonstrates excellent organizational change-management skills while operating in matrix or other ambiguous, complex organizational structure
- The ability to use or learn the following computer programs: Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Zoom, Teams, Salesforce, SAP, Concur,
- Provide accurate, valid, and complete information by using the right methods/tools.
- Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
