ABOUT THE JOB:

As the Director of Commercial Simplification, you will be a senior leader responsible for driving the implementation of Lean methodologies and process improvement initiatives across the organization. In this strategic role, you will provide direction, guidance, and leadership to a team of project managers, project teams, and cross-functional stakeholders. You will focus on simplifying, consolidating, and automating the tasks/processes/tools in our Lead-To-Cash, sales operations, customer service, omnichannel and digital capabilities to improve efficiency and customer experience. Your expertise in Lean principles and proven leadership abilities will play a critical role in shaping the organization's operational excellence and continuous improvement strategies

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Develop and execute the organization's Lean program management strategy, aligning with the overall business objectives and long-term goals. Collaborate with executive leadership to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks for measuring the success of Lean initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of program managers and Lean practitioners, providing guidance and support for their professional growth. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the Lean program management team.
  • Drive the adoption and integration of Lean principles, tools, and methodologies across various departments and projects. Champion Lean initiatives, including value stream mapping, Kaizen events, 5S, standard work, and visual management.
  • Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and waste reduction. Facilitate cross-functional teams in the implementation of Lean projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Develop and execute change management strategies to gain buy-in and support from employees at all levels. Communicate the benefits, progress, and results of Lean initiatives to executive leadership and the broader organization.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to measure the impact of Lean initiatives on operational efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations showcasing the value generated by Lean efforts.
  • Lead the planning and execution of large-scale continuous improvement events and projects, facilitating cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving. Identify opportunities for ongoing improvements within existing processes and methodologies.
  • Allocate resources effectively to support Lean projects, ensuring optimal utilization of personnel, tools, and technologies. Manage the budget for Lean program management activities, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Significant experience (7+ years) in leading Lean program management initiatives, ideally within a complex organizational environment.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire teams towards achieving strategic goals.
  • Expertise in Lean methodologies and tools, along with relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Master Black Belt).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Change management expertise, with the ability to navigate resistance and drive organizational transformation.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to align Lean initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and functions.
