The key objective of the Director, Talent Acquisition in reporting to the CHRO is to drive the strategic direction and roadmap for talent acquisition to support the business strategy and objectives.  Core to this role is serving as a trusted advisor and subject-matter expert to leaders and colleagues.

Talent Acquisition Strategy and Branding
•Develop, implement, and evolve our company-wide talent acquisition and employer brand initiatives internally and externally including throughout periods of change, to support EBITDA performance, revenue growth and efficient use of resources
•Assist in refining the WillScot Mobile Mini employer branding and value proposition definition for external candidates and our existing employee base
•Ensure our human capital strategy and execution focuses on improving representation throughout the organization of historically marginalized subgroups
•Create a differentiated candidate experience strategy that touches all points of the employee lifecycle, heavily collaborating with business leaders and other HR COE’s
•Ensure appropriate delivery and reinforcement of internal branding initiated at recruitment across the HR team and broader organization
•Lead recruiting initiatives and process harmonization through organizational change, including mergers & acquisitions

Internal and External Recruiting
•Design a high volume, high quality, scalable recruitment process across a decentralized, global organization with equity, inclusion, diversity and talent sustainability at its core
•Develop and coach proactive customer relationship management techniques to continuously develop and improve collaboration and ownership across all stakeholders in the recruitment process
•Identify improvement areas in current strategy and processes and encourage innovative solutions based on business needs, data and trends
•Lead internal and external partnerships, including the identification, selection, hiring, and management of vendors including talent agencies and advertising vendors (e.g. LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed), maximizing ROI

Recruiting and EID Measurement and Reporting
•Measure and communicate talent objectives and results throughout the organization to drive visibility and collaboration
•Collaborate with cross-functional leads to gather data, and feedback to monitor progress for a range of Talent Acquisition subjects (i.e. sourcing, interviewing process, hiring, onboarding and inclusion & diversity)
•Partner with HRIT to build and share staffing metrics, dashboards, and reports to enable informed decisions, demonstrate progress to representation goals, drive productivity, and drive efficiencies
•This is a team-based role and will assist in other aspects of HR as assigned.



The successful candidate will possess:

  • Experience in developing, enhancing, and deploying a global talent acquisition program in a decentralized structure with varied work environments and talent types, utilizing a blend of internal and external resources 

  • 10 years or more of progressive experience in talent acquisition in a complex, global organization

  • College Degree

  • MA/MBA strongly preferred

  • Awareness of compliance requirements including SOX compliance, local and US laws, international and industry standards. (WillScot Mobile Mini has offices in the US, Canada, UK and Mexico)

  • A proven track record creating the foundational elements of an effective talent acquisition program such as establishing KPIs, managing a team to performance of KPIs, creating and delivering training, and implementing effective resource allocation

  • A hands-on ability to use technology and data as enablers (WillScot Mobile Mini uses SAP SuccessFactors)

  • Excellent organizational change-management skills operating in a matrixed or other ambiguous, complex organizational structure

  • Ability to persuade and influence at all levels of the organization without authority
