We are looking for a tax and accounting expert to manage, facilitate and support WillScot Mobile Mini’s business while ensuring full compliance with all local and international tax rules. The ideal candidate is a team player who manages and mentors the tax team to greater performance, creates and implements tax plans and works with the accounting and leadership teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and potential areas of risk. The Tax Manager will ensure compliance with state federal and international tax law through a series of systems and system controls that are designed to ensure accurate, timely reporting. The individual will monitor current and impending changes to tax regulation and make the appropriate updates to policies and strategies. The ideal candidate is focused in their pursuit of ensuring compliance and achieves this goal through optimizing reporting procedures and driving the successful function of the tax team. This role reports directly to Senior Tax Manager. 


•    Manage Income Tax Provision processes under ASC 740 including calculation of effective tax rates, deferred tax items, GILTI/BEAT/FDII, 163(j), valuation allowance analysis, related journal entries and review of tax account reconciliations.
•    Responsible for determination of tax compliance requirements and formulation of policies and procedures to meet those requirements in the most efficient manner. 
•    Manage all federal and state tax audits and notices.
•    Oversee and approve the preparation of federal and multi-state income tax returns. Approve estimated federal and state tax payment calculations and the related submissions of payments. 
•    Review and manage international aspects of income & non income tax returns, along with Forms 1118 and 5471 (and 861 apportionments) for all non-US entities. 
•    Assist with tax planning opportunities and other structuring, along with providing guidance on foreign tax credit calculations. 
•    Research complicated tax issues, analyze applicable laws, suggest alternatives or new practices, and document conclusions. Advise management regarding effects of business activities on taxes, and on strategies for minimizing tax liability.
•    Perform research and prepare/review technical tax memorandum. 
•    Oversee complex tax research projects. 
•    Maintain tax oriented internal controls for Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. 
•    Document transfer pricing of intercompany sales & purchases, interest and royalties 
•    Participate in the strategic planning process by preparing forecasts and plans for minimizing taxes and tax compliance costs consistent with overall corporate objectives. 


Job Specifications:
•    Knowledge of U.S. ASC 740 and U.S. GAAP income tax provision requirements.
•    Knowledge of OneSource and SAP preferred.

•    Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
•    Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple priorities, coordinate complex projects, and develop and implement solutions to income tax related business issues.
•    Develop and mentor staff members.

•    Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline such as Accounting, with minimum 5-7 years of Public Accounting or large corporation tax experience.
•    CPA Preferred. MST a plus.
