Manager, Upsell & Cross-sell

Job Summary:

As the Manager of Upsell and Cross-Sell, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize revenue by increasing sales of additional products or services to existing customers. Your role is essential in driving customer satisfaction and growing our business through upselling and cross-selling initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement upsell and cross-sell strategies to increase revenue from existing customers.
    • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to align strategies with company objectives.
  • Customer Segmentation:
    • Segment the customer base to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling based on customer needs and behavior.
  • Product Knowledge:
    • Maintain a deep understanding of the company's products and services to effectively identify opportunities for upsell and cross-sell.
  • Sales Team Training:
    • Train and coach sales teams on upselling and cross-selling techniques and strategies.
    • Provide ongoing guidance and support to help sales representatives succeed in these efforts.
  • Customer Engagement:
    • Develop personalized communication and engagement plans for existing customers to promote additional purchases.
    • Use various communication channels, including email, phone calls, and in-app messaging.
  • Performance Metrics:
    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to upsell and cross-sell efforts.
    • Regularly report on performance and make data-driven adjustments to optimize results.
  • Customer Feedback:
    • Collect and analyze customer feedback to understand their needs and preferences.
    • Use feedback to refine upselling and cross-selling strategies.
  • Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with product development teams to ensure that new offerings align with customer needs and can be effectively promoted.


  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in sales, customer retention, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of the products or services offered by the company.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Experience in training and coaching sales teams.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering value.
