Senior Accountant - Fixed Assets

  • Oversee the monthly physical inventory process for multiple locations
  • Review physical inventories for accuracy and completeness
  • Analyze and report results to management
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to both the general ledger and subledgers
  • Prepare and analyze financial information detailing fixed assets, inventory and rental fleet
  • Prepare and complete month-end close processing ensuring that all deadlines are met in accordance with the established closing dates
  • Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports
  • Assist with preparing consolidated quarterly & annual financial reports
  • Communicate and coordinate with both internal and external auditors and satisfy their requests for information in a timely manner
  • Collaborate on and lead projects to determine solutions to improve inventory accuracy and streamline inventory processes
  • Maintain current policies to ensure relevant internal controls over financial reporting are SOX compliant
  • Review job costing information received from multiple locations for compliance with policy
  • Other duties as assigned. Regular attendance is required to fulfill the essential functions of the job


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
  • 2+ years’ fixed asset or inventory accounting experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Strong understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze and compile large amounts of data
  • Communicate clearly: both verbal and written
  • SAP experience preferred
