ABOUT THE JOB:
The Senior Operations Analyst (SOA) will own all aspects of the reporting and KPI tracking within the WS Network Operations functions. This role will support setting up reports within our Operating Systems that will support efficient planning for resources and performance management. This position will have direct impact on key performance metrics in our Real Estate, Fleet and M&A organizations. A successful Senior Operations Analyst (SOA) will adhere to WillScot Mobile Mini safety policies, relevant state and regional laws and regulations. The Senior Operations Analyst (SOA) will maintain excellent service standards, respond efficiently to inquiries, strive for high system functionality, and excel in Williams Scotsman’s & Mobile Mini’s Core Values.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Responsibilities of the Senior Operations Analyst include, but are not limited to:
- Develop, update, and maintain a set of standard operational, functional, and business reports used by the field and various departments for monthly, quarterly and annual reviews
- Publish monthly and quarterly reports to senior management, working closely with business partners to identify key drivers and assumptions
- Analyze KPI trends on a periodic basis, compare and contrast results to budget, forecast, or other operational assumptions, investigate variances, and communicate findings to assist management in understanding of results, and business users in understanding their business
- Coordinate, create, and update materials (graphics and supporting analyses) for periodic presentations, including but not limited to, management and board level meetings
- Utilize financial and operational data to create insightful and actionable reports, providing commentary and variance analysis as needed
- Proactively identify trends and potential areas for improvement within the organization, collaborating with business partners to develop action plans and drive process improvements
- Prepare and standardize dashboards for specific KPIs
- Prepare ad-hoc reporting for specific initiatives or projects as needs arise
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
What You'll Need to be Successful in the role of an Operations Analyst
- Bachelor’s degree required, finance, accounting, or related field preferred, MBA a plus
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in financial or business analysis, forecasting, and reporting
Abilities and Other Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with complex formulas and pivot tables
- Familiarity with Alteryx, Tableau, SAP, Oracle EPM, or other data analytics/visualization and financial planning software preferred
- Strong communication skills with senior leadership teams
- MS Office Suite
- B2B experience, previous experience in a mid-size company is a plus
- High degree of attention to detail and organization
- Collaborative and self-starter mentality
- Manage and prioritize large numbers of emails and requests
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with internal departments
- Provide accurate, valid, and complete information by using the right methods/tools Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
