The Sr. Benefits Administrator is responsible for the administration of the company’s benefits, leave, and accommodation programs, providing the employee with a quality customer service experience, while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.


  • Responsible for day-to-day administration of benefit programs such as medical, dental, vision, life, disability, flexible spending and health savings accounts
  • Serves as first point-of–contact for benefit related questions and resolves questions/issues through research and policy interpretation
  • Manages leave of absence process by working closely with human resources business partners and being the liaison to associated vendors
  • Reviews the Mercer Task List to remind employees about deadlines to enroll or provide dependent documentation
  • Maintains qualified medical support orders
  • Process death claims
  • Completes benefit, disability, and Medicare verifications
  • Review arrears and benefit variance report and makes appropriate changes
  • Review HSA pending verifications notices and funding errors
  • Reviews wellness reports and processes HSA contributions
  • Supports annual open enrollment processes with system testing, communications, and employee support
  • Supports wellness program and implementations of new vendors
  • Manages and maintains COBRA subsidies
  • Makes appropriate changes in tracker and systems for leaves along with managing continuation of benefits process
  • Facilitates the reconciliation and payment of monthly benefit invoices


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration and 4+ years in benefits administration; or equivalent education and experience
  • Working experience with an HR information system and benefits admin system
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to deal with employees at all levels
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Detailed-oriented
